The Wordmark Delight is an expression of what the Facebook brand stands for during special moments in culture. Its purpose is to honor and celebrate the communities around the world who use Facebook through visual storytelling.

Facebook’s mission is to build community around the world. In articulating the brand mission, we tell stories in Wordmark Delight through the lens of how communities honor the moment.
Authentic Stories
Part of celebrating community means passing the mic to people to tell their own stories. Through our artist partnership program, we ask artists to bring their personal perspective and stories to the work.
Legibility
Not the sexiest principle, but, legibility at scale is a prominent consideration for Wordmark Delight designs. Because this feature only appears on the mobile logo space, designs need to be not only legible, but powerful in the App’s smallest illustration space.
Equity
Because community is so important to us, depicting communities with diversity, equity, and inclusion at every stage of the design process is deeply embedded into our practice.
